What Makes Some Stucco More Expensive Than Others?
Different stucco is made from different combinations of material. Traditionally, stucco is made from a mixture of lime, Portland cement, sand, and water. High-quality stucco is usually more expensive, and includes different materials mixed into the stucco, like stones, pebbles, glass, and more. Because of their colorful beauty and unique textures, choosing high-end stucco is always worth it because it yields a higher quality result.
What Are the Different Kinds Of Stucco I Can Choose From?
There are two main kinds of stucco – traditional and synthetic. Traditional stucco uses the standard mixture of lime, sand, and water, and nowadays, is mixed with cement which makes it more durable.
Synthetic stucco does not use cement but instead uses a form of acrylic resin that is resistant to water damage. It dries more quickly and evenly than traditional stucco which makes it more convenient for some.
Both types can have decorative elements added to them to enhance their appearance.
